PCOD (POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE)

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), or Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) which can also be known as the Stein-Leventhal syndrome, is a condition that affects the ovaries. It is the most common endocrine disorder among females. Many women develop many small cysts in the ovaries, so called as pcod. The cysts are not harmful but lead to hormonal imbalance.

-The most common immediate symptoms are “anovulation” i.e ovum is not released from the ovaries which results in irregular menstruation, amenorrhoea, and ovulation related infertility.
